One World Products, Inc. (OTCQB: OWPC) and Los Gatos Tomato Products have announced their intention to form a strategic collaboration to expand the AgriBlend™ agricultural biomaterials platform. The joint venture will combine Los Gatos Tomato Products' agricultural expertise and renewable feedstock resources with One World Products' advanced materials engineering and commercialization capabilities.
AgriBlend™ is the Company's agricultural biomaterials platform that transforms recycled and renewable resources into high-performance engineered materials. The collaboration will add tomato pomace and almond byproducts to the existing portfolio, which already includes rice hulls, corn fiber, soy fiber, jute, and agricultural cellulose feedstocks. The companies also plan to evaluate additional renewable agricultural feedstocks as the platform expands.
According to the announcement, the partnership represents a further step in One World Products' long-term strategy of serving the automotive, infrastructure, agriculture, packaging, logistics, industrial, and consumer markets with sustainable materials. The Company's existing portfolio includes EcoBlend™, advanced polypropylene compounds, natural fiber composite technologies, recycled rubber material technologies, cellulose-based material technologies, and circular economy material solutions.
Isiah Thomas, Chairman and Chief Executive Officer of One World Products, stated, “Our objective is to build a platform company that transforms recycled and renewable resources into high-performance engineered solutions for the world’s largest industries.” He added that the collaboration with Los Gatos Tomatoes significantly expands AgriBlend™ by adding new renewable feedstocks.
Dan Green, President and Chief Executive Officer of Los Gatos Tomato Products, commented, “This proposed collaboration enables us to create additional value from tomato pomace and agricultural resources while partnering with an organization that shares our commitment to sustainability, advanced materials, and long-term commercial growth.”
One World Products previously commercialized hemp-based biocomposite materials, including reusable industrial containers, and developed advanced engineered compounds for automotive and industrial applications. The Company believes that its diversified capabilities position it as a leader in transforming recycled polymers, renewable agricultural feedstocks, natural fibers, recycled rubber, and cellulose into high-performance engineered materials.
Beyond product development, the companies intend to collaborate on research, manufacturing, commercialization, and future technology development. Additional details regarding the proposed joint venture will be announced after definitive agreements are finalized.
