SightLED, a Shenzhen-based LED display manufacturer, has announced the launch of its OTV Series MIP Outdoor LED Display, a new fine-pitch outdoor fixed installation LED display designed for high brightness, weather resistance, and long-term reliable performance. The series is available in pixel pitches of P0.9, P1.2, P1.5, P1.9, and P2.5, with brightness up to 4,500 nits and full IP66 protection.
The OTV Series utilizes MIP (Micro LED in Package) technology and a sealed aluminum frame. It is engineered for outdoor fixed installations in demanding environments such as poolside and coastal areas, commercial buildings, stadiums, airports, and other public spaces. According to Jane Liu, Sales Director at SightLED, "Outdoor LED projects are moving toward finer pixel pitches, but reliability remains the deciding factor. The OTV Series combines MIP packaging, IP66 protection, and a sealed aluminum structure so customers can specify high-resolution displays for poolsides, coastal sites, and other demanding outdoor environments with confidence."
The MIP outdoor LED module uses chip-level packaging for superior reliability and visual performance. Its sealed aluminum base provides exceptional heat dissipation, helping the display maintain stable operation in harsh conditions. The IP66 rating ensures full protection against dust and heavy water jets, making it suitable for coastal, poolside, and high-humidity environments. The cabinet features seamless flatness, ultra-thin wall mounting, and quick installation. Full front maintenance, a hub connection design, and true dual access support fast and secure servicing, reducing labor time and operational disruption.
With up to 4,500 nits brightness, the OTV Series delivers clear outdoor visibility. It supports contrast ratios up to 16,000:1 (model dependent) and covers DCI-P3 90% color gamut with Rec.709 support. A 160° horizontal and vertical viewing angle ensures consistent visuals for large audiences. The series uses common cathode driver ICs for energy-efficient operation, with maximum power consumption of 675 W/sqm. It also supports receiving card and power redundancy for added reliability. Operating temperatures range from -30°C to +70°C, and the display offers a lifespan of up to 100,000 hours with slow brightness decay.
The OTV Series is suitable for a wide range of applications, including commercial and hospitality building facades, restaurants, hotels, banks, retail stores, plazas, and parking lots; transportation and public venues such as stations, airports, gyms, stadiums, parks, and churches; and residential and coastal settings like seaside swimming pools, luxury estate pools, terraces, and outdoor kitchens. The IP66-rated design resists splashes, chlorine, salt air, and harsh coastal conditions while delivering bright, clear visuals.
SightLED supports distributors, system integrators, and project partners through a dedicated OTV Series partner program. Qualified distributors receive regional and project-based protection, project registration, competitive pricing, sales and technical training, marketing assets, and pre-sales support. The launch of the OTV Series addresses a growing demand for reliable, high-resolution outdoor LED displays that can withstand challenging environmental conditions. By combining MIP technology, IP66 protection, and high brightness, SightLED provides a solution that reduces maintenance costs and extends operational life, benefiting industries such as advertising, hospitality, transportation, and real estate. This development underscores the trend toward finer pixel pitches in outdoor displays without compromising durability.
