ICONSIAM, the global landmark on the Chao Phraya River, ended Pride Month 2026 with a historic rainbow drone and fireworks show that drew worldwide attention and underscored Thailand's readiness to host World Pride 2030. On the evening of June 30, 2026, the destination presented “Journey of Pride Spectrum,” a five-minute aerial display that combined rainbow-themed drones and fireworks against the backdrop of Bangkok’s iconic riverfront. The spectacle, described as Thailand’s first such event, transformed the night sky into a symbol of unity, acceptance, and hope.
Images and videos of the event quickly spread across social media, generating significant online engagement and highlighting Bangkok’s reputation as a welcoming global destination for LGBTQIA+ communities. The celebration served as a compelling demonstration of Thailand’s preparedness to host World Pride 2030, reinforcing ICONSIAM’s role in showcasing the country’s creativity, inclusivity, and cultural expression.
Throughout June, ICONSIAM ran the “UNITY OF PRIDE: DIVERSE SERIES, ONE COMMUNITY” campaign, offering immersive experiences that celebrated rainbow culture. The destination featured the Pride Rainbow Waterfall on the 6th floor, Asia’s longest rainbow-themed dancing fountain show, and the ICONIC Rainbow Lighting installation created with LightSource. The month also included the A FAIR x UNITY OF PRIDE shopping festival, the Pride & Greet fan experience with artists from DOMUNDI, and the contemporary art exhibition “Colors of Pride: Unity in Diversity” by Queer Art Thailand on the M Floor.
