Foundation for a Drug-Free World’s Mobile Exhibit Engages Thousands at Glendale Cruise Night

The Foundation for a Drug-Free World featured its interactive Mobile Exhibit at the 31st Annual Glendale Cruise Night on Saturday, July 18, 2026, from 5:30 PM to 10:30 PM along Brand Boulevard in Downtown Glendale. Glendale Cruise Night is one of Southern California's premier classic car events, drawing over 45,000 attendees and showcasing hundreds of classic cars, live music, vendor booths, and family activities. As part of the evening's festivities, the Drug-Free World Mobile Exhibit provided visitors of all ages with free, fact-based educational materials aimed at preventing drug abuse and empowering youth to live drug-free lives.

Visitors to the Mobile Exhibit explored high-impact audio and visual displays, received free Truth About Drugs educational booklets covering substances like alcohol, marijuana, prescription drugs, and synthetics. The exhibit included interactive educational displays with visual representations detailing the real-world physical and mental impacts of drug abuse. Free materials for families and educators were available, including comprehensive informational booklets, DVDs, and curriculum packs at no cost. A pledge drive offered opportunities for youth and community members to take the "Drug-Free Pledge," and 141 individuals, mainly children and teens, pledged to be drug free.

“Reaching youth and families where they gather is vital to effective drug prevention,” said Karla Bartholomew, Chapter President for Foundation for a Drug-Free World. “Cruise Night offers a wonderful community setting to share fact-based information that empowers individuals—especially young people—to make informed, healthy life choices.”

The Foundation for a Drug-Free World is a nonprofit international drug education program sponsored by the Church of Scientology and Scientologists in support of the humanitarian goal of creating a drug-free, crime-free world where human rights are a reality, as envisioned by Scientology Founder L. Ron Hubbard. For more information about Drug-Free World educational materials and community activities, visit Foundation for a Drug-Free World.

This initiative matters because it directly addresses the ongoing challenge of youth drug abuse by providing accessible, factual information in community settings. By engaging families and children at a popular event, the foundation aims to counteract the influence of misinformation and peer pressure, potentially reducing future drug-related harm in the region. The 141 pledges taken by youth represent a tangible commitment to healthy choices, with ripple effects for families and schools.
