Western Star Resources Inc. (CSE: WSR) (OTC: WSRIF) (FRA: 4K2) has released an updated investor presentation that consolidates its expanding U.S. tungsten platform and outlines a strategic roadmap toward drilling and potential resource definition. The presentation, now available on the company's website, brings together for the first time the historical production records, modern exploration results, geophysical interpretations, and emerging drill targets across its Eagle Point, Rowland, and White Star tungsten projects in the United States, alongside its drill-permitted polymetallic Western Star Project in British Columbia.
The company's U.S. tungsten strategy is anchored on three past-producing projects in two established mining jurisdictions, each offering distinct exploration opportunities. At Eagle Point, New Mexico, Western Star holds a 100% interest in a past-producing tungsten project with eight historically mapped skarn bodies along a prospective granite-limestone contact. Historical production during 1943-44 shipped approximately 1,800 tons of scheelite-bearing material to the U.S. Government stockpile, with surface sampling by the USGS/NMBGMR returning exceptional grades, including a scheelite-rich outcrop sample with 27.6% WO(3) and 0.98% Mo. Notably, a 1955 U.S. Government proposal would have funded 75% of an exploration program involving shaft sinking and diamond drilling, but that program was never carried out.
In Nevada, the Rowland project has yielded modern exploration results with selected rock samples returning up to 4.02% WO(3), and soil geochemistry, UAV magnetics, and geological mapping have identified Central and Rowland Main as principal exploration target areas within an approximately one-kilometre geochemical corridor. The adjacent White Star project returned a selective rock sample with 3.00% WO(3) and 711 ppm Mo, and high-resolution UAV magnetic data have identified multiple interpreted target zones beyond historical workings. Together, Rowland and White Star form the consolidated Jarbidge–Charleston tungsten footprint, covering more than six kilometres of prospective tungsten-bearing horizons, with drill permitting activities initiated.
The presentation emphasizes Western Star's strategy to systematically advance Eagle Point toward a potential maiden NI 43-101 mineral resource estimate. The company intends to use modern mapping, geochemistry, geophysics, and drilling to test historically identified tungsten mineralization and extensions, with a target for a maiden drilling program in 2026, subject to permitting, financing, and other customary considerations. The historical estimates at Eagle Point, which suggest a mineralized system on the order of 170,000 tons, are not NI 43-101 compliant and are not treated as current resources, but they provide context for the project's potential.
Western Star is also assessing U.S. federal programs that may support domestic critical-mineral exploration, including a submitted application in response to a U.S. Defense Industrial Base Consortium solicitation. The company believes its portfolio aligns with the growing strategic emphasis on secure supplies of critical minerals like tungsten, which is vital for defense, aerospace, and advanced manufacturing.
Blake Morgan, President and CEO of Western Star Resources, commented, "The purpose of this new presentation is to show investors exactly what Western Star has built and, more importantly, where we intend to take it next. We have assembled three past-producing tungsten projects in the United States and we are no longer simply talking about historical potential." He added, "Our objective is to generate the modern drilling and geological data necessary to determine whether Eagle Point can support a maiden NI 43-101 mineral resource estimate, while at the same time testing the broader exploration potential of the system."
The updated presentation also highlights the company's 100%-owned Western Star Property in British Columbia, which is permitted for drilling and hosts multiple mineral occurrences, providing additional optionality. The company's focus remains on advancing its U.S. tungsten portfolio, with a disciplined approach to target definition, permitting, and drilling to create long-term shareholder value.
