Vinhomes has unveiled the master plan for Vinhomes Global Gate Ha Long, a 6,200-hectare integrated urban development adjacent to the UNESCO-listed Ha Long Bay. As the company's largest project to date, it signals a shift in measuring urban success: not by land area but by the value delivered per hectare. This approach aligns with evolving global standards that prioritize connectivity, climate resilience, and integration of nature into urban infrastructure, as highlighted by the OECD.
The project's strategic location along the Hanoi–Hai Phong–Quang Ninh Expressway places it at the nexus of northern Vietnam's tourism, industrial, and logistics corridors. It is designed not as a residential complex but as a fully integrated city, embedding housing, public services, commerce, and ecological infrastructure within one connected environment. A key feature is its adjacency to the future depot station of the Hanoi–Quang Ninh high-speed railway, promising a 23-minute commute to Hanoi, thus enabling a seamless blend of metropolitan intensity and the natural beauty of Ha Long Bay.
Residential offerings include villas, townhouses, shophouses, and high-rise apartments across six districts, all with views of the bay and access to clean air and waterfronts. The master plan dedicates over 2,500 hectares to green spaces, water bodies, and mangroves, including 680 hectares of naturally filtered seawater and the 660-hectare Globe Ha Long Forest Park. This ecological core supports biodiversity and climate resilience, embodying Vinhomes' ESG++ vision for regenerative development.
Cultural and entertainment amenities are extensive: a 60,000-seat outdoor waterfront venue, the 3,000-seat Wonder Theatre, an 81-hectare VinWonders destination with a planned world's largest aquarium, an international convention center for 4,500 guests, and an 18.5-hectare Vietnamese Cultural and Culinary Village. Hospitality includes luxury hotels, integrated casino facilities, a 950-hectare golf complex with 12 courses, an 800-hectare mangrove park, and Wonder Marina for direct bay access.
Commerce and lifestyle revolve around Vincom Mega Mall, premium outlets, and Vincom Collection retail streets, ensuring 24-hour activity. Sports and wellness are prioritized with Vietnam's first purpose-built Sports District (13.3 hectares), a professional sports academy, and over 50 kilometers of cycling routes. Health and education are served by the 14-hectare Vinmec Cleveland Clinic International Hospital, Vin New Horizon senior living center, Vinschool campuses, and an American international school. A new central business district with office towers up to 45 stories will anchor the economic future, attracting domestic and international businesses.
The project adheres to ISO 37125 for sustainable urban development and leverages smart technologies like AI and IoT for efficient city operations.
