SS Innovations Reports 79% Growth in Robotic Surgeries, Expands Global Footprint

SS Innovations International (NASDAQ: SSII), a company focused on making robotic surgery more affordable and accessible, has reported significant growth in the adoption of its SSi Mantra surgical robotic system. As of September 8, 2026, the system has been used in 14,103 cumulative procedures, a 79% increase from 7,885 at the end of 2025. The installed base of SSi Mantra systems grew 42% to 238 units, up from 168, reflecting expanding global demand for cost-effective surgical robotics.

The SSi Mantra is now installed in 12 countries, with approximately 1,500 physicians trained on the platform. It has been used for more than 170 types of surgical procedures. Recent international milestones include the launch of robotic cardiac surgery in Colombia, the first installation in Sri Lanka, and the first telesurgery within the Philippines. These developments highlight the system's versatility and its potential to bring advanced surgical care to underserved regions.

In addition to adult procedures, SS Innovations reported 258 cumulative pediatric robotic surgeries and 188 robotic telesurgeries as of August 31, 2026. Notably, a telesurgery was performed over a distance of more than 13,600 miles between Colombia and India, demonstrating the platform's remote surgery capabilities. In August, five SSi Mantra systems were used to complete 50 robotic general surgery procedures in a single day in India, underscoring the system's efficiency and reliability in high-volume settings.

Looking ahead, SS Innovations expects the U.S. Food and Drug Administration to complete its review of the SSi Mantra 510(k) premarket notification by the end of the first quarter of 2027. The company also believes it can obtain European Union CE marking certification by year-end 2026. These regulatory milestones would open major new markets and further accelerate adoption.
