The PNE Group has successfully sold two wind farm projects, 'Wulfsdorf A' and 'Kuhstedt III', to a small group of private investors. These repowering projects, located in Schleswig-Holstein and Lower Saxony respectively, have a combined capacity of 45 megawatts (MW). The sale highlights the ongoing trend of repowering existing wind farm sites with more efficient turbines, a move that significantly boosts renewable energy generation.
The 'Wulfsdorf A' wind farm, situated in the district of Ostholstein, will feature two Vestas V150 turbines (6.0 MW each) and two Vestas V162 turbines (6.2 MW each), totaling 24.4 MW. Construction is already underway, with commissioning scheduled for December 2026. Meanwhile, the 'Kuhstedt III' wind farm in the district of Rotenburg (Wümme) will consist of two Nordex N175 turbines (6.8 MW each) and one Nordex N163 turbine (7.0 MW), adding up to 20.6 MW. Construction is in progress, and the project is expected to be commissioned around the turn of 2026/27.
Together, these projects are expected to generate enough clean electricity to power approximately 31,000 three-person households annually. This substantial output underscores the efficiency gains from repowering, which replaces older turbines with modern, more powerful models at sites already designated for wind energy.

The operational management of both wind farms will be provided by energy consult GmbH, a subsidiary of the PNE Group, ensuring continued oversight and maintenance expertise. This move aligns with PNE's broader strategy as a Clean Energy Solutions Provider, offering services across the entire lifecycle of renewable energy assets.
The sale is part of PNE's ongoing divestment program, following recent transactions including the 'Romescamps' wind farm in France (10.8 MW), the 'Bokel' wind farm in Germany (25.2 MW), a wind farm project in Poland (72 MW), and a photovoltaic project in Poland (approximately 40 MW). These deals demonstrate the strong investor appetite for renewable energy projects and the value of repowering in maximizing the potential of existing sites.
For the local communities and the broader renewable energy sector, this transaction signals continued confidence in wind power as a key component of the energy transition. By repowering, PNE is not only increasing clean energy output but also contributing to the modernization of Germany's energy infrastructure.
