HKTDC August Events to Showcase Wellness, Global Foods, and Smart Living

The Hong Kong Trade Development Council (HKTDC) will host its annual August events from 13 to 17 August at the Hong Kong Convention and Exhibition Centre, featuring five fairs under the theme "Live Well.Stay Well." The 36th Food Expo, 10th Beauty & Wellness Expo, and 12th Home Delights Expo will run for five days, while the 4th Food Expo PRO and 17th Hong Kong International Tea Fair will take place from 13 to 15 August. These events will bring together more than 1,850 exhibitors from over 30 countries and regions, offering a one-stop platform for sourcing, networking, and retail experiences.

This year's fairs see an expanded international presence, with first-time exhibitors from Brunei, Timor-Leste, Colombia, and Greece. For the first time, all ASEAN member states are represented. The Agricultural Trade Promotion Center of China's Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Affairs has organized delegations from multiple provinces to showcase premium agricultural products, using Hong Kong as a gateway to global markets. The Korea Pavilion has grown by 40% compared to last year, making it the largest overseas pavilion with over 130 exhibitors.

Food Expo PRO introduces a new "Meat Zone" to meet rising demand for premium meats, featuring Korean frozen marinated barbecue and halal-certified beef tendon balls from a long-standing Hong Kong brand. The popular "Coffee Zone" returns with exhibitors from Yunnan, Colombia, Macao, Myanmar, Thailand, and the United States. A "Food Science and Technology Zone" will highlight alternative foods and intelligent food-service robots, while the Food Tech Symposium will explore how technology drives innovation in the food industry.

The Hong Kong International Tea Fair will showcase rare teas, including a naturally mutated purple bud raw pu'er tea from Yunnan, white tea from Laos, and Ceylon tea from Sri Lanka. New pavilions for Chinese Mainland Matcha and Yixing Zisha Teaware make their debut. The "TeaLifestyle" zone introduces innovative products like sparkling tea and tea-based cocktails, and the Hong Kong International Tea Culture Forum will discuss internationalization of Chinese tea brands.

The Food Expo will feature global gourmet delights, including Singapore's Old Seng Choong, Thailand's Drop by Dough, and Taiwan's KUAICHE. A new Dessert and Gelato Theme spotlights low-fat gelato using patented mushroom extract and Cookieism's Cookie and Cream Carnival. The Gourmet Zone celebrates its 15th edition with 15 celebrity chefs and a commemorative recipe book.

The Beauty & Wellness Expo introduces the "Stay Relax" zone with red-light therapy capsules and wellness balms, and features the Xuelei Fragrance Museum's interactive "Meet Yourself Through Fragrance." The Home Delights Expo focuses on quality sleep and smart living, with HKT offering discounts on smart home appliances and showcasing its award-winning F5G-A 2500M Super Broadband service.

The International Conference on the Modernization of Chinese Medicine and Health Products (ICMCM) expands to three days, featuring over 30 speakers discussing regulatory policies and global pathways. Public education displays at the Food Expo will promote Chinese medicine awareness.

To celebrate HKTDC's 60th anniversary, special promotions include free admission before noon for 600 visitors daily, "6"-themed offers, and lucky draws with prizes worth over HK$1 million. Visitors can also enjoy "Smart Bidding" sessions and the "August Happy Buy" campaign for savings. Tickets are available via e-ticketing platforms and convenience stores, with no physical tickets issued.
