Author Nettie Reeves Launches 'Pretty Broke' Movement to Help One Million Women Build Financial Confidence

Financial educator and entrepreneur Nettie Reeves is launching the Pretty Broke Movement, a national financial empowerment initiative with a bold mission to help one million women move from financial uncertainty to financial confidence. The movement is inspired by Reeves' chapter, "Pretty Broke: The Price Women Pay To Fit In," featured in the Amazon #1 best-selling book Financial Trendsetters 4. Reeves believes that many women quietly struggle with financial insecurity despite working hard, building careers, and caring for their families.

The Pretty Broke Movement begins with a simple truth: many women inherited financial barriers they did not create. For generations, women were encouraged to invest in their appearance and care for others while receiving little education about building wealth or protecting their future. "Pretty Broke isn't about criticizing women or how they choose to spend their money," said Reeves. "It's about helping women realize they deserve to invest in their financial future with the same confidence they invest in every other part of their lives."

Reeves, who has earned national recognition including the Steve Harvey Community Award and recognition during the Obama Administration for her leadership in health and wellness, now serves as Chief Executive Officer of In Shape Financial Solutions. She champions the belief that being financially in shape is just as important as being physically in shape. The Pretty Broke Movement does not ask women to choose between looking their best and building their future—it reminds them they deserve both.

To mark the launch, Reeves will host an exclusive, invitation-only Pretty Broke Experience on Saturday, August 22, at 2:00 p.m. Women, community leaders, business professionals, and advocates for financial empowerment who would like to attend are encouraged to contact In Shape Financial Solutions to request an invitation. The movement aims to spark conversations that have the power to change a family's future, as every financially empowered woman can change generations.

In Shape Financial Solutions, a financial education and planning firm, focuses on helping individuals, families, and business owners build, protect, and preserve lasting financial confidence. The firm's areas of expertise include Retirement Planning, Life Insurance, Medicare, Long-Term Care Planning, Disability Insurance, and Financial Coaching.
