Alward Fisher has announced the addition of Lauren E. Trible-Laucht to its legal team, a move that brings 15 years of municipal law experience to the Traverse City-based firm. Trible-Laucht, who served as City Attorney for the City of Traverse City from 2011 to 2026, joins Alward Fisher as the firm continues to expand its capacity to handle complex legal matters across Northern Michigan.
During her tenure as City Attorney, Trible-Laucht acted as the City's in-house general counsel, advising municipal departments, City officials, and the City commission on a broad range of operational, governmental, and legal issues. Her work encompassed property transactions, development agreements, ordinance drafting and enforcement, labor and employment matters, municipal governance, zoning and land use, contracts, and litigation. That background is expected to be particularly valuable to Alward Fisher's business and real estate clients, who often navigate regulatory landscapes that intersect with local government.
Edward Price, the Firm's Managing Partner, said he was honored to have Lauren join Alward Fisher. "Lauren is an incredible addition to the team," he said. "We admire her sharp legal experience, as well as her devotion to the Traverse City community. At Alward Fisher, our mission is to provide peace of mind to our clients, whether they're struggling with a divorce, a business dispute, financial trouble, estate planning, or criminal law matters. We believe Lauren is the perfect attorney to further that mission."
Lauren said she is looking forward to joining the Alward Fisher team. "I'm very proud to join Alward Fisher," Lauren said. "I have spent the last 15 years assisting the Traverse City community address some very big issues. I'm looking forward to putting my skills to work for clients in Northern Michigan in a whole new capacity."
Trible-Laucht earned her Bachelor of Arts, cum laude, from Kalamazoo College in 2002 and her Juris Doctor, cum laude, from Wayne State University Law School in 2008. She was admitted to the State Bar of Michigan that same year. Before her time as City Attorney, she was an associate attorney with Jon H. Kingsepp PLLC, where she served as Assistant City Attorney for the City of Clawson, representing municipal and private clients in litigation, contract negotiations, and labor matters.
