This represents a 66% increase from the previous quarter and a 115% rise compared to the same period in 2023, highlighting how comprehensive post-purchase support can drive adoption in the competitive EV sector.
The company's approach is particularly evident in the U.S. market, where it offers a segment-leading warranty policy for its electric vehicle models. This includes a 10-year, 125,000-mile vehicle warranty and a 10-year, unlimited-mileage battery warranty for non-commercial use on its D-segment SUV VF 8, along with mobile services and 24/7 emergency roadside assistance that address key concerns of potential EV buyers. For its E-segment SUV VF 9, now available for delivery across California retail stores and dealerships, VinFast provides an equally impressive 10-year, 125,000-mile warranty while offering attractive lease options for the first 100 vehicles delivered in the U.S., with rates as low as $529 per month for qualified lessees of the Plus version.
To support its expanding customer base, VinFast is rapidly growing its dealership network across the United States through partnerships with 36 dealerships across 15 states, aiming to provide comprehensive support to VF 9 owners and deliver a premium EV ownership experience. This infrastructure expansion complements the company's success in Vietnam, where it has become the best-selling automotive brand by delivering more than 51,000 EVs from January 1 to October 31, 2024 through a customer-centric approach focused on after-sales service.
As of November 2024, VinFast operates the largest service workshop network in Vietnam with 111 service workshops nationwide and plans to expand this network to at least 200 workshops by the end of December 2024, further solidifying its position as the leader in after-sales service in the country. Vietnamese auto market analyst Phan Thanh Man commended VinFast for its proactive approach in investing heavily in service infrastructure from the outset, which has allowed the company to quickly gain significant market share in Vietnam and surpass established automakers with decades of experience.
