Valencia Expands Outdoor Amenities with Two New Community Parks

Valencia by FivePoint recently celebrated the opening of two new community parks, further enriching outdoor options for residents and their guests. The new parks represent an extension of FivePoint's commitment to creating inviting outdoor settings for people and their pets to enjoy. Verve Park features roomy lawns, kids' playground, an outdoor fitness zone and handy bike rack, while connecting to the Eastlink greenway. Future additions include a ValenciaGO mobility hub, and the park also includes a community clubhouse that residents can reserve for parties, meetings and private events.

The November 1 opening of Riparian Park added even more choices for Valencia residents. Located just above Verve Park on Riparian Avenue, Riparian is a new park of the Los Angeles County Parks and Recreation Department. These new parks complement the existing award-winning Confluence Park, which serves as a community core with expansive lawns for family picnics and special events like Movie Night, Boo Bash and holiday celebrations.

The Eastlink Greenway connects diverse destinations within Valencia, creating a network of walking, biking, and Neighborhood Electric Vehicle paths that currently connect to Confluence and Verve Parks and will lead to more parks and open space in the future. About 10,000 of Valencia's 15,000 acres are dedicated to open space that is interwoven with diverse discovery points and biking, hiking and pedestrian trails. A pump track serves those seeking two-wheeled fun, and there's also a bike repair stand and a shaded pavilion for relaxing and rehydrating.

Residents emphasize the community's walkability and outdoor amenities. "You see beauty, not power lines, and it really feels like a nature setting," said one homeowner. "The location and the quiet atmosphere make this an oasis." Another resident noted, "We feel safe and comfortable here. The walkability and our pools and cabana are like a vacation at home." Confluence Park also holds a large Community Garden, where all ages are welcomed to join the Gardening Club, providing both educational opportunities and social connections.

The community's outdoor spaces contribute significantly to neighborhood connections. "Whether it's casual chats at the park or kids playing together, there's a real sense of connection here," said a homeowner. "It's easy to strike up conversations, and that's made it feel like home faster than we expected." The Valencia Farmers Market offers another community gathering point, open to residents and visitors every Sunday from 8:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m., featuring fresh produce and artisan fare from Valencia's surrounding areas.
